I was aware that foxes were partial to worms but that is the first time I've seen it happening. A bit like eating half cooked spaghetti.

I think worms make up a relatively large proportion of their diet when conditions are right.
A couple of years ago I tossed out some over-ripe bananas thinking the birds might peck at them but was surprised to see a large fox scoff them.
