I had to laugh when I read the sub headline on this one:
"Rabid hedgehogs are prowling the streets of Moscow and people have been warned to stay away for fear of infection."
We know they are nasty buggers, but I'm sure they don't go prowling the streets looking to attack people.

Sometimes people pick up Hogs to have a look at the little face buried in the spikes. It is possible they could get bitten I suppose.

I think they were saying people could get pricked by an infected spine but they've come across only
two
infected hedgehogs so far and are they really "prowling the streets"? -
prowling expect they've got ASBOs too

I read a newspaper article today claiming that wildlife rescue facilities are presently overrun with young Hogs which appear to have been born very late in the season. My local one say they are trying to feed around 270 Hogs at present and are desperately short of food. They are also calling out for old newspapers as we all know the Hogs are not fussy where they leave their calling cards.
