Two hedgehogs braved the weather last night and came out to feed. Ate all the food as well. I put out quite a lot.

Coutryfile had a segment exploring the causes of the population decline in the last 30 years especially in rural areas. The first part pointed the finger of blame firmly in the direction of badgers which in my opinion is about correct. An expert did give environmental conditions as an alternate solution but was less convincing.

Seen it also Jacksparrow. Seems that once the badger got protected, their numbers increased by a large amount. Be interesting to see if hedgehog populations increase in the countryside once the cull of the badgers is done and dusted.
