Rats can be a problem placi. Night cameras are good if you want to know what goes on after dark.

Google translate placi, is great, type in one window and French comes out in the other. Copy and paste, job done. A little time consuming though.

I am trying a new Hog food. The first night was last night and it seems to have gone down well. Two or three hogs came on what was a rainy night and ate quite a bit of it.

Is quite popular with hedgehog feeders. Tried it myself without success.

I found the nuggets of ark quite large and have always wandered how hedgehogs tackle them. At the moment I am using Coshida Junior cat food from lidl. Quite small nuggets. Hogs seem to like them, no complaints so far. And around £1:80 for 750 gr, so not breaking the bank.

A good tip but unfortunately not an option for me. My trailcam reveals four different cats visiting including one which hangs about for a couple of hours. They all take a look in the Hogs feeding bowl so cat yummies would not last an hour and the Hogs would get nothing. :shake: :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat:

Looks like a couple of hedgehogs have moved on. Most of the food being ate though.

I am setting the trailcam on a nightly basis and it seems I am getting three on a regular basis. They are having some of the food on offer but I suspect the natural food is plentiful at present so they are not starving. :hedgehog: :hedgehog: :hedgehog:

After a few weeks of monitoring the trailcam results I am getting three or four Hog visits during the hours of darkness including two that always come and leave as a pair. The other thing that I've noticed is that during the fox visits the Hogs are not bothered in the slightest. He shows no interest in them and they in turn are happy to carry on doing what they do unfazed.
