I did have a visit last night although only half the food was taken. The Starlings enjoyed the remainder this morning. :)

It now seems the a nightly visit from at least one Hog is now a thing of the past for 2017. I will miss them especially the CCs :shake: . Spring cannot come quick enough  .

Neighbour knocked on my door just now, seen a hedgehog crossing the road. Was under a car in a carpark when i got there. Have taken it in for the rest of the day. Is in a pet carrier with hay bedding and some food up in the spare bedroom. Is a juvenile and could be the one my camera has been picking up for the past several nights. Came later last night after midnight as suppose to around 8:30pm. Comes in several times during the night. Is mild here at the moment which is a good thing.

I think my Hogs have their heads down although this milder weather might tempt them out. As yet I have seen no signs.

Hi Nuthatch, it weighed 309gr. Not a heavy weight. When i went to get it tonight to put out, it was snuggled in the hay. So i took the pet carrier outside, took the door off and let it come out in its own time. Went out 10:30pm to check and it was gone. It did eat half the food i put in the carrier for it. But i was surprised to see it snuggled up as being interned can be a bit stressful. Will keep an eye on it via the camera.

Unfortunately hoggy never made it. I seen it on the camera last night as it went into feeding station and it looked ok. But around 0925 this morning i seen something on the pavement across the road and went and had a look. was the hoggy, and sadly it had expired. No signs of injury on the outside, so must have been something internal like parasites.
