Sure is jacksparrow. The flowers start from around a third up from the ground.

Bees have found the echium flowers. Not buzzing, just a few.

Echium has reached 8ft 4in now. Several bees on it, but don't say still long enough.

It's either reached its maximum height or it's sick. Only an inch in a week is very worrying.

Not a bad effort seeing as it's only a baby. I was was beginning to worry for willpar's welfare while he tried to measure it.

Echium not got any taller, still at 8ft 5in. Several bees though.
