I don't know what it is but there were about half a dozen of them hiding under some vegetation when I was tidying up the front garden today.

Must be The Right Time Of Year. I've 12 of those all in a row like little soldiers. I mentioned them just the other day under a thread called "Fungi"

And first thing this morning, right by the above, is a tiny group of something like this:

Not exact but similar. They are darkish grey and rather more ethereal than this example.
Rain + warmth = who knows ?!?!?!

The Men arrived yesterday morning - cut the grass in the rain
and smashed the little toadstool fambly
to smithereens
