Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....

I see Magpies breaking off branches from the tree next to my house, but I also left all sorts of twigs and leaves in my garden.

Re: STARLINGS

For the last few evening I have been able to enjoy a mini "murmuration" from my back patio. The main flock looks to be about 200 birds while other smaller flocks do their own aerobatics in the same vicinity and occasionally merging. I have not seen this in previous years and I have no idea where th...

Re: MAGPIES

I am happy to report that a magpie couple in the neighbourhood, oposite side of the couple who's nest disappeared, are busy doing nestorations  . I can see their nest from my kitchen window and I see them flying in and out all the time, every time with a twig in their beaks

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....

I happen to be driving in the country, near few farms last week and at one point, not too far from this country lane I was driving on, I saw a movement of something large on the ground in this field  . The next second I see these massive wings and a bird taking off  . It was a red kite!...

Re: Sea Eagles

Unless a person is caught red-handed actually shooting the bird no prosecution is likely. Just because they are the prime suspect doesn't actually mean they're guilty. Frustrating I know but that is the law. Maybe not in this one, but they have been caught in few cases red handed, on camera, beatin...

Re: Sea Eagles

This is beyond infuriating! And sadly not surprising because those game keepers will and do kill anything that dares to breathe near the estates unless its pheasants. They are cruel beyond belief and the worst part is they always, always get away wit it!

Re: Squirrel

On my walk through the local park today I saw a squirrel gathering something on the ground. I thought she (I know its a she :D ) is digging up a nut previously buried, but than I realised she gathered dry leaves and took a paws full up the nearby tree and to the nest! Someone is making a nest nice a...
