Re: FOXES

A great treat for me on Tuesday. I had just taken mum out for the day and came back to do my superlate (17.30 - 02.07 hrs) shift and as I parked my car, I thought a cat ran by the side of it into the back garden. On closer inspection I realised it was my little fox friend - the new young one. I spok...

Re: Your Garden Hedgehogs

Glad to hear your hedgie's are still coming. Placi, I know how frustrating it is to have cats pinching food intended for others!!!! :( Just coming in this evening about 23.20 hrs to see a smallish hedgie having something to eat at the groundfeeder table in the front garden. It was illuminated in the...

Re: RED SQUIRRELS

Thank you everyone! They are lovely aren't they? So sweet to watch them race about chasing each other - a real treat!! :) They were totally at ease with the crow as was the crow with people and the squirrels!!! :D

Re: Buzzards

Thanks everyone! Great looking bird!! I felt a bit mean shooing it away, but the poor hens were traumatised and I felt responsible for them as they were in my garden so to speak!!! The hens were relying on me looking out for them :D

Buzzards

Hello everyone, sorry I have been missing for a while! I have been amazingly busy recently, anyway I have found a few minutes to post these pictures from my recent holiday in the South West. The cottage where I was staying had hens constantly roaming in the grounds: http://i793.photobucket.com/album...

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....

Sorry I don't know! I saw a very sad sight this evening on my way home. I just came down a country road to find the cars in front of me slowing down and stopping. The reason for this was a procession of ducks had decided to cross the road. Sadly 2 had been squashed and killed. This had happened on m...

Re: BLACKBIRDS

Today I was reminded why Blackbirds are my favourite birds. I spent most of the day in the garden doing some pruning, sitting at my patio table and hanging washing out. The birds came and went when they got the chance and I rested down away from the pruning area for a while. My main visitors were Bl...
