Seen my first swallow this morning. Just the one though.
Just about on time. Despite the cooler weather I have plenty of insects in the garden so finding food will be no problem.
Summer doesn't really start for me until the Swifts arrive. A few more weeks yet I think.

Re: Your Garden Hedgehogs

I think I now have two hogs visiting. My daughter could hear them when she went out the back of the house about midnight and all the food was eaten.

While out and about this morning, two Red Admirals, a Peacock and a Speckled Wood.
It is surprising what difference a few fine days make.

Re: WHAT I DIDN'T SEE TODAY

What I didn't see today or any other day for some time now is a Collared Dove. Not so long ago there always seemed to be a least a pair hanging around waiting to get on the SFH feeder but I haven't seen one for months. I have not read anything suggesting they were struggling but my own theo...

Re: BIRD FEEDING

The wind today turned out to be a destructive one for me. My 8-port feeder which I've had for at least 10 years broke free from it's supporting cable tie and smashed itself on the ground beneath :weep: . I managed to salvage most of the contents but the feeder is a write-off. I have not decided whet...

Have never had one in my garden, although have seen them in the general area in the past.
I had noticed that they never appeared in any of your videos.
