Hi Butterfly. Could be that the sticks got brittle over the years and it just collapsed.

Re: MAGPIES

There was a magpie nest high up in the tree right across the street that I could see from my living room window, in the winter months that is, when there is no leaves. I've seen youngsters fledging and creating a circus nearby every year. I can't remember when it was the first time that I spotted th...

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....

My bird visits have dropped off again. Even the usual suspects seem to be fewer in number. I may have had a Sprawk visit to scare them off but I didn't see it. :( Probably Sprawk JS, they do have that effect :sofa: If it knows there is a good source of food butterfly, it could well return. I have h...

Good spot Butterfly. They are in my town centre but rarely come out to see us all in the housing estates.
That's why I was surprised to see it in my garden JS :D , I always see them only in the town centre and car parks. I just hope its not just one off 🤞

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....

I've been having a bunch of finches in my garden for quite a while now, chaffinches and gold finches that come every day to help themselves to some food. Lovely lively birds

Had another sparrow count as they stayed still long enough. The ones that i could see amounted to thirty. May have been some more within the hedge. But a tidy number all the same.
Oh wow! That's a nice healthy number of sparrows Willpar

Re: ROBINS

My new Robin is the friendliest creature on this planet! S/he comes to me every time I am putting the food out, and really close, has done from the start, no hesitation. Even makes eye contact :D . This morning, s/he came and had few seeds right next to a couple of guys who are doing some work in my...

Re: MICE

Cats kill for fun. They inherit an instinct to hunt and most of them enjoy fulfilling that part of their make-up. :cat2: Cats have been tamed, and humans managed to teach them to use a litter tray. There are courses and help groups to help you teach your cat use litter tray. Something that's not pa...

Re: MICE

I went into my garden this morning to find this gruesome murder scene :cry3: https://i.imgur.com/FTYTGUF.jpg https://i.imgur.com/HAY056F.jpg Obviously it was a cat attack because the pray was not even eaten! That's the most annoying thing about cat's kills, they don't even need to eat it! :hissyfit:...
