I released him last night. He made a sharp exit.
Lets hope he comes back tonight.

And it's the time of year to see the babies taking their first steps and flights.

Re: Your Garden Hedgehogs
I just had a phone from my hog lady to ask if I wanted the hog I took to her last year back. If you remember I spotted a neighbour taking him from the kerb to some undergrowth and luckily I was looking out the window at the time.
I thought he'd probably not survived, but it's great news that he did.

Re: Help please, new house/garden.
Hi Richie and a big welcome to this little forum with a big love for birds. I find birds love bread and would eat it every day, but I only give them bread when it too stale for me. My feeders are full of sunflower hearts. I have a nyger feeder but is not used much. I sometimes put peanuts out, but o...

Re: FLEDGLINGS 2016
I've had my first baby and it was a sturk.
I have jackdaw babies in my chimney, they haven't come out yet and the moment they do, then the door will be slammed behind them.

Re: Your Garden Hedgehogs
The squished hog wasn't #3, who visited last night.
Whenever I've seen a hog out in the daytime, I've nabbed it straight away and taken it to my hog lady.

Re: Your Garden Hedgehogs
I am saddened to say I saw a squished hog a few doors away this morning. I had 2 visitors last night, #3 and an unmarked one with just one eye. I shall have to see who visits tonight. I've just numbered them this year rather than naming them. And I'm logging them as best as I can, but without fail, ...

Re: Your Garden Hedgehogs
I've marked 5 and had a non-marked visitor last night. If it's anything like last year, I'm going to have some imaginatively patterned hogs this year

Re: Hedgehogs in the News
I had to laugh when I read the sub headline on this one: "Rabid hedgehogs are prowling the streets of Moscow and people have been warned to stay away for fear of infection." We know they are nasty buggers, but I'm sure they don't go prowling the streets looking to attack people. http://www.dailymail...
