Re: Ospreys

I am not familiar enough to recognise LF15 , but I captured my screen with that incident, can you maybe tell if its her? I'm amazed I actually saw this happening live

Re: Ospreys

Mayhem on the nest. About two minutes ago two birds (?LM12/NC0) on the nest were joined by a third. Bit of a scrap before all leaving with one Osprey being chased by another. Happened so quickly it was difficult to see exactly what was going on. I saw that peregrine, the 2 of them were sitting next...

Mr Blackbird was "worming" my front lawn this evening. I congratulated him on his fatherhood as he flew off with the results in his beak. :blackbird:

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....

Re: Ospreys

Is this the first breeding season for NC0 peregrine? I'm no expert and I might be wrong but it looked to me few times that she is a bit unsure of what to do and was looking to LM12 for guidance?

Re: Ospreys

Thank God mating was successful in the end, so many clumsy attempts I was getting worried we won't see any chicks :chuckle:

Just read the blog. Another female Osprey has dive bombed NC0 a few times today. Happens so quickly staff cannot identify the bird. They are not sure if it is LF15 or another female. Hope they can get a better view to identify the bird.

My drive is looking a good deal tidier.

They are all busy these days, I had a starling ripping off bits of what I believe is skunk vine, and taking beakfull away, clearly for the nest building purposes :D
