I vary my feeding regime very little throughout the year. I offer the same seed and hearts but in winter I tend to put out more fresh fruit.

According to my wild flower book willpar's orchid is a Bird's nest Orchid. Can't say I've seen one before.

I am already a member of the RSPB. This the BTO a similar thing? While both organisations both have bird's welfare at heart they are coming at it from different directions. TEASELS

This years Teasel crop is coming along nicely. The photo below shows three of them growing out of the side of my drive against the creeper covered wall. They are currently a little over 6 feet tall and still growing. I will need a ladder to pick the Teasels in the autumn. :) http://i420.photobucket....

It has been a miserable day at the chateau today with persistent rain :rain: but my favourite Blackie has been keeping dry under the cover of my back patio. He has been going out into the rain occasionally but only to try and see off other males. :blackbird:
